Native grape varieties for a unique expression of the terroir:

Gaillac rosé wines are distinguished by the use of traditional grape varieties that are little known elsewhere in France.

  • Duras: The appellation’s signature grape variety, Duras produces fresh, fruity rosé wines with aromas of red berries, peach, and redcurrant. Duras rosé wines are perfect for pairing with aperitifs, grilled meats, and salads.
  • Braucol: This hardy grape variety produces rich, aromatic rosé wines with notes of red berries, white flowers, and spices. Braucol rosé wines pair perfectly with pizza, tapas, and Asian cuisine.
  • Syrah: A well-known international grape variety, Syrah expresses itself in Gaillac with intense aromas of raspberry, violet, and black pepper. Syrah rosé wines from Gaillac are elegant and well-structured, with a long, lingering finish.

A variety of styles to suit every taste:

Gaillac rosés come in a wide variety of styles, ranging from light, fruity wines to more structured and complex ones.

  • Light rosé wines: Perfect for a relaxing moment, these wines are refreshing and delicious, with soft tannins and a crisp finish. They pair perfectly with appetizers, salads, and light grilled dishes.

Perfect pairings of food and Gaillac rosé wines:

Light rosé wines are perfect with appetizers, salads, and light grilled dishes, as well as with grilled fish, white meats, and soft cheeses.
